St Andrew's Corbridge Northumberland
Location
Hill St, Corbridge NE45 5AA
Saxon Church. Impressive 13th century remains - particularly east end lancet windows. Roman arch to baptistery. 14th century Vicar's Pele, built of Roman stones in churchyard - needed because of Scots raids from 1296. A small Evetts window depicts Saint Christopher. The church is generally open.
